Was going to watercolor something like usual, but was too lazy to get up from my bed/computer. So I vectored instead. Vectoring takes hours and hours and is a lot more effort than watercoloring. Except not getting up from my bed/computer apparently outweighs the cons of hours of work. >____>

Summer Break

Finals kept me too busy to blog and after finals, I HAVE SO MUCH STUFF TO DO AT WORK. DYINGGGG. WHAT IS WITH ALL THESE IMPOSSIBLE DEADLINES?

Oh I had my hair cut. And then I dyed it with Mie and Lilly. I HAVE SHORT HAIR IT IS SO COOL. Hold on let me take a photo. XD

Too lazy to put on makeup or photoshop the photo. Looks halfway decent though :D

The hair dye barely shows. It's supposed to be red and it shows a bit in bright light.

There's a ticket for the concert that matches this poster. And I'm working on the program for the concert. That'll probably feature this on the cover. Minus the price.

They also asked for a more formal/sophistocated poster for a performance we're doing at the Forbidden City Concert Hall. Except they only gave me a day's notice for that. It became a rush job in which I used a former layout and just changed the words. ;-;

I'll upload what I did for finals at a later date. Eventually. I AM ALSO GOING TO REINSTATE THE ONE PRINT A DAY CHALLENGE FROM WINTER BREAK. That will begin... Tomorrow. >____> 

The Legend of Pie

All students at my university are required to take an upper division writing class. My major requires that we take the version of the class offered by the Theatre Arts department. Our class consisted of writing narratives, scripts, and learning career writing. Halfway through the semester, each class chose 3 scripts from their respective section of the course. The assignment was to produce the play, movie, or, in our case, puppet show.

Mie gave me the idea for my script. It miraculously got chosen in my class section. I got 7 amazing classmates to work with on producing my puppet show.

Originally, it was supposed to be an animation. Since I'm an animation student. But it would take too long to produce, so I changed it to a puppet show.

The title's similarity to the Zelda franchise is pure coincidence. But I did put Zelda music in.

It turned out a lot better than I expected with the limited amount of time we had. Thank you to everyone that helped out with this project! :D

Anatomy Book

I HAVE PHOTOSHOP AGAIN.

So this is the Anatomy Book I made for my anatomy class. Turned it in... May 4th. It's Last Airbender/Korra themed. I scrapped my previous idea of drawing a bunch of musicians, so I ended up having to put everything together last second. (Not that I would've had much more time if I'd stayed with my earlier idea. >___>)

The cover. I bound my book by hand with construction paper and thread. Left it with my professor, so I don't have a scan of it. The rest of my book is printed, though.

Last-Last Week

Hella late post. (I really like the word 'hella.' XD) I've somehow secured a free night for myself in the middle of the finals madness.

2012-04-26 Color Grid

Color grid took FOREVER. You remember me complaining about it a post or two ago. >___> It turned out okay. Could be better. But pretty good considering the lack of patience I had with it.

Figure Drawing 2012-04-27

Had a really good session that week. Especially like the last long pose, even if the head is a little big. She just has a big forehead, okay! DX These are the only 3 figure drawings to span these 2 weeks. Last week's drawing session was a disaster. I hadn't slept in 2 days and I kept falling over in the middle of my drawings. I ended up with a bunch of really messy, half-complete sketches that weren't worth posting.

I also have scans of the puppets I/we (we're called Pie Puppetry XD) made and a fabric study along with all the stuff I did last week and this week. The images need editing, though, and I just wiped my computer Wednesday. I still need to reinstall photoshop and whatnot, so I'll upload them later once that's done. Sunday maybe. Or Monday. Or when finals end. >____> We shall see.
